Rules are there to keep order among a group of people. Failure to comply will result in immediate punishment depending upon the degree of the action performed. By no means will not knowing the rules be an excuse.

1. No Spamming
Please try and contribute positively to the discussion. Examples of spam include: "haha," "cool," "wack," "lol," "reached 100 posts!," etc. However, replies expressing gratitude such as "Thank you" are permitted. Posts should also not expand the page so users end up having to scroll horizontally because you posted a huge image or wrote a huge post on one line.

2. No Discussion of Illegal Activities
No discussion of illegal activites shall take place on BBoyZone. This includes stealing, pornography, pirating, etc. This also includes illegal footage/clips.

3. No Advertising/Marketing
We do not allow direct or indirect advertising of sites, products, etc. on BBoyZone. If you wish to advertise, you may do so in the links section ONLY. This rule also encompasses PM advertisements. Signature URL's should be limited to one line with a URL/text link only (no formatting). Event advertisements are allowed as long as they are in the Events Forum.

4. Limit Signature Sizes
Signatures should not be in excess of 15 lines long (including empty lines). Images within signatures should be at a limit of 400x150. Limit two images per signature. Signatures SHOULD NOT cause the page to expand so that we end up having to scroll horizontally to view your signature.

5. Do Not Bump Topics within 24 Hours
If your topic has not been responded to in less than 24 hours, please refrain from bumping it. Doing so will result in the locking of the topic.

6. Use the Search
Search before you make a topic. Chances are, your questions have already been answered or your topic may already have been discussed.

7. No Discussion of Sensitive Issues
Sensitive issues (religion, politics, etc.) should not be discussed. It only causes uneasiness and partisanship. Such topics will be deleted without warning.

8. Use the "Edit" Button
Try to keep double posting to a minimum. Use the "edit" button if you need to make changes to your post. If your double posting is becoming a nuisance, then you will receive a warning.

9. Respect the Staff
Moderators/administrators are appointed for their good judgment. Please do not start a new topic asking why a specific staff member made the choice he did. This includes such topics as: "Why was I warned?", "Why was my topic deleted?", etc. If you have any questions, please contact the moderator to resolve the issue.

10. Rules Subject to Change
The rules defined here are subject to change. We reserve the right to alter the rules without your knowledge. You should be safe as long as you make a mature decision as most of these rules are generally common sense. If you are interested, you can find the time the rules have last been changed by viewing the "Edit Time" label at the bottom of this post.

11. Quoting Rules
DO NOT QUOTE THE POST DIRECTLY ABOVE YOURS. This wastes space and slower connections will take longer to load up the page. Quotes should also not be longer than 3 lines in length.

Remember, we are not trying to restrict your enjoyment by establishing rules, but we are trying to preserve the quality of the community by keeping everything in order. We hope you can help contribute positively to the community rather than make it worse. Afterall, it is YOUR community.
